After much testing, here are the results and feedback from the Rocktape vs. the world throwdown. Each taping was applied per the brand specific recommendation of the product manufacturer.
-Laura Mandell

Rocktape
Pros:
Survived rain, mud, practice and game
Still had stick to spare
Minimal end rolling
No fraying
“Felt really supported – can we get a case of this stuff?”
Cons:
None. This was the only taping application that was requested again, and still is the hands down favorite!
Had to remove the tape only because it was mud soaked!

Spidertech
Pros:
No cutting required, precut applications
Pretty blue color
No fraying of ends because of precut applications
Cons:
No stretch application indicated
No room for adjustment of a large vs small back (one standard size application)
Single piece of tape was awkward to anchor, apply and maneuver at the same time
End rolling of tape
“Didn’t feel like it did a whole lot”

KT Tape
Pros:
Precut I strips
No fraying
Greater adhesive quality than KT, on par with Spidertech, less than Rocktape
Cons:
“Just feels like tape on my back, no real support”
Horizontal ridges in tape with “full stretch” application of horizontal strip
Slight skin irritation from full stretch ridge lines upon removal

Kinesiotape:
Pros:
Simple application
Cons:
Fraying of strips upon cutting
Least adhesive of all tape tested
Least palpable support
Poor adhesion with wet weather practice sessions
End rolling of application
